At Technotherma India Pvt. Ltd., our Bogie Hearth Furnaces are engineered for the efficient heat treatment of large and heavy steel components. These furnaces are suitable for a wide range of processes including tempering, annealing, soft annealing, normalizing, stress relieving, homogenizing, and recrystallization. Operating temperatures typically range from 250°C to 1150°C, depending on the specific application.
The bogie is loaded outside the furnace using either a forklift or an overhead crane. Once loaded, the bogie is moved into the furnace chamber. In standard operations, the material is allowed to cool inside the furnace before being removed. However, our specially designed systems also allow for removal of hot loads for external quenching or cooling while the furnace remains operational.
Our furnace hearths are insulated with high-temperature fiber insulation and mineral wool for maximum thermal efficiency. Radiation heating elements are strategically mounted on the interior sidewalls, and when required, on the bogie floor and door/hatch, ensuring excellent temperature uniformity across the chamber.
The electric motor-driven bogie features a robust steel frame lined with insulating and fire-resistant bricks. A unique heat-resistant sealing system between the hearth and the bogie ensures optimal thermal retention and can be opened during operation for effective cooling when needed.
We offer multiple design configurations including:
Vertical or horizontally sliding doors
Manually operated doors (left/right hinged)
Doors fixed directly to the bogie
All our furnaces come complete with comprehensive documentation and CE Certification in compliance with LVD, EMC, and Machinery Directive standards.
